Did women go through menopause during medieval times?

So today I was thinking, and it occurred to me that if people were dying in their 40s and 50s back in the day, and most women in today's times go through menopause in their 40s and 50s, would they have gone through menopause right before they ended up dying? Would they have gone through it at a younger age? Would they have had menopause at all?
