Help! I do not know how to get the smell of cat pee out of my daughter's brand new Christmas clothes...?

We had guest for Christmas... and they brought their cat. I had, on my couch my daughter's brand new Christmas clothes folded, and the cat peed on them. :( I have heard distilled white vinegar, but will it ruin her new clothes? Any other suggestions welcome, other than the one my friend who's cat peed on my daughter's clothes gave me which was," Well, I guess you won't leave new clothes sitting around in piles anymore, huh?" They ended leaving early :)
