Got rid of virus ...computer still running slow.?

I put my computer in safe mode and deleted a trojan virus.Since than all the anoying pop - ups have stopped.(woo-hoo) But my computer is still SO slow.It takes like 15min to get online.I defragmented the drives already.What should I do?
