I just had an interview for an accounting internship and I don't think it went well. Should I send a note?

The internship was going OK until they decided to give me a little pop quiz. They asked me something like blah blah blah accounts blah blah blah payable blah blah blah receivables and something else about debit/credits. Then they asked me how I would handle whatever they told me and I did not know what to say. I only took financial accounting and forgot a few things. They did say that they would provide training and and such so I didn't think they would ask me a question like this. Anyway should I write a note to them to explain and ask them to still consider me or should I just let it go and accept that I have no chance?
