How to lay out my furniture in a great room that is NOT great!?

My great room measures 19'.6" L x 13' W Unfortunately, there is a fireplace and hearth in the middle of the room that that takes up an additional 16"W x 48" L of floor space. Furniture is not a problem. I have access to most any furniture but on hand have a round sectional, estate sized sofa, chunky coffee tables, two slipper sitting chairs ++ Any suggestions?
