Would a sound card improve the Asus U50G sound quality?

SRS Premium Sound is a virtual sound field that imitates a surround sound by using two speakers. the only reason to put a sound card on a laptop is if you want to connect to some bigger sound system i.e. surround sound receiver. the card gives more advanced outputs then the laptops stereo headphone output. the altec lansing speakers are good sounding for laptop speakers.
